Harless Wade Invitational Golf Classic

The Harless Wade Invitational Golf Classic is is an annual fundraiser (late Sept./early Oct.), in it's 5th year, that benefits the athletic department at Texas A & M University - Commerce, formerly East Texas State University.  Mr. Wade, a legendary retired golf columnist for the Dallas Morning News, founded the event and helps run it every year.  Not a single penny has anyone received for working the Classic.  Every cent goes for scholarship help for the students.  As a graduate of the school, it is his way of giving back.  Proceeds have now surpassed $70,000 for the foundation.  Proceeds are raised by corporate sponsorship, a silent auction, tournament entry fees, and merchandise.
